Delicious Alchemy

I have been trying a few of the products from Delicious Alchemy, which make gluten free goodies.

I have been having the pecan and cranberry granola on everything!

This stuff is lovely- just the right amount of crunch- the pieces are a nice size and clump together a bit which I like too.

It could do with more cranberries, as I did not get many per serving (but then they are the smallest ingredient). The ingredients are ; Buckwheat flakes, rice syrup, rice crisps, rice flakes, vegetable oil, sugar, chilean flame raisins, pecans, millet flakes, cranberries. I give it 8/10 cherries. I loved it, but I would have added more cranberries.

Granola on yoghurt- yum.

Andy has become rather partial to the muesli! The muesli also won Coeliac UK’s blind taste test! Impressive stuff.

Now for some background- apparently oats do not contain gluten in their natural state, but are often cross contaminated in the field. Delicious Alchemy ensure that their oats remain gluten free as they are not exposed to gluten containing cereals such as wheat, barley and rye. The muesli’s ingredients; gluten free oats, buckwheat flakes, chilean flame raisins, raisins, dates, whole buckwheat, quinoa flakes, roasted hazelnuts, apricots, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, almond flakes.

This muesli is soooooo good!  I only wish it came in a bigger pack! Each spoonful is different as it is jam packed with so many different add ins (all those seeds, dried fruit, nuts, grains). I love the variety of the grains and I love the fact that the dried fruit is unsulphured. I don’t find muesli as filling a breakfast as porridge, but on taste along this stuff is delicious and lovely with cold milk. 9/10 cherries (as it does not quite match up to my love for porridge)
