I was sent some lovely breakfast foods to try, from Moma foods.
Some oaty smoothies and some bircher muesli pots.

Moma make a range of breakfast foods; Oatie shakes (smoothies with apple juice, yoghurt, oats and fruit), Oatie breakfast pots (bircher muesli) and hodgepodge (yoghurt, fruit compote and granola)- coolest name ever! They use pro-biotic low fat natural yoghurt from Dorset, and Mornflake oats. The pots also come with little plastic spoons so ideal for when out and about.
Last year when I went to Switzerland I became rather enamoured with bircher muesli, and so I was very excited to try these pots.
First up was the Apple and Peach oatie breakfast. This was delicious. There were lovely pieces of peach throughout, and the jumbo oats gave it a lovely chew. The pot was a generous size, and at 309 calories per pot (10.1g protein) it was very filling (I had it as a post body pump snack as I was pretty hungry and it was perfect). This would be the perfect breakfast if you were not at home and needed something filling and healthy quick.
Then I tried the Blueberry oatie breakfast. This was the same idea as the apple one- the ingredients are yoghurt, apple juice, oats, blueberries, peaches, agave nectar, rice starch and lemon juice. This was lovely- the blueberry flavour really came through and the peaches added some extra sweetness. I had it as a pre-run breakfast and it kept me going for 10 miles! Yum.
Next up was the Banana and Mango Oatie breakfast. This had 10% mango and 5% bananas, which I think was the right way around- I would rather have more mango than more banana. Again totally delicious.
Then I tried the Mango and Banana Oatie shake. I have had a smoothie with oats once before, and although I liked it as a breakfast, I have never had another one since. I had this for lunch (long story, I would not normally have something like this) and it was really filling. I did drink it from the bottle, but it was very thick so could easily have been eaten with a spoon. It had a slightly different make up from the pots- 40% apple juice, then bananas, oats, yoghurt, mango, rice starch and lemon juice. 352 cals per bottle make it a pretty substantial meal, and although more carbs/ sugar than the pots, they have more protein than a normal fruit smoothie too, and with the oats and yoghurt it makes it a more complete meal. I really enjoyed this, and if I was out and about this is a much better choice than a blueberry muffin or something.
Before my girly road trip (and after a 40 min run) I tried the Wild Berry Oatie Breakfast. This was delicious (I added in some strawberries and blueberries too). I loved the blackcurrant flavour that came through- reminded me of blackcurrant cheesecake. Yum!
When I got home from the road trip I was hungry (having only had a scone for lunch, not ideal) so I went for a Wild Berry oatie shake. This again was lovely and again I could taste the blackcurrants in there and it was very filling- just what I needed!
Finally I tried the Strawberry and Banana Oatie Breakfast (and took a picture to show you the spoon you get with it). This tasted like strawberries and was really summery. Again, very filling and a warm weather alternative to porridge.
I really enjoyed trying these products, and I will look out for them (especially the pots- loved those pots) if I was out and needed breakfast. The website has some really interesting information on it too, so is worth a look- here.
There is a useful tool on their website to find where they are stocked- near me they are found in Budgens and also on station platforms, but they are also listed as being in some Waitrose, Sainsburys, Tescos, Co-ops and Boots (mostly in London) so perfect for commuters!
Thanks Moma
