Bloom Tea

As part of hosting the Bloom Tea giveaway, I was sent some samples of each of their teas to try.

It is a 5-step Tea Treatment plan, with different tea for different times in the day.

Step 1 is English Breakfast Tea

(On the left). This is made from Sri Lankan Uva, Indian Assam and Kenyan Tea. It is meant to be good for metabolism, and is ideal at breakfast. It has a strong flavour, and you could feel the caffeine boost (according to Andy, who had this one).

Next up is Step 2, the fragrant Green Tea, with Green tea, jasmine, rose petals and echinacea. This is good for de-stressing, and is good for the morning.

This was a very pretty teabag, with the pink rose petals. This tastes like green tea with jasmine, so a little more perfumed than regular green tea. I quite like green tea when I have it, but I still would not normally choose it. But this was pretty good.

Step 3 is the soothing white tea, made with white tea, fennel, peppermint and aniseed.

(On the right). This was refreshing. I had never tried white tea before, but I liked it. I could not really taste the mint, but it was scented nicely. Apparently this is good for digestion (I suppose down to the mint) and is supposed to be had at noon.

Step 4 is the energising Earl Grey tea, with black tea, bergamot, lemon & orange peels, and cornflowers. This is good for concentration and ideal for the afternoon.

This was lovely! I love Earl Grey tea anyway, I find it very refreshing and a bit lighter than normal black tea.

Step 5, for relaxation, is the caffeine free rooibos tea, with  rooibos, vanilla, elderflowers and liquorice.

This was delicious, and my favourite by far. It tastes a lot like Teapigs rooibos creme caramel tea- sweet and the perfect replacement to a hot chocolate.

I like the idea of the Bloom tea treatment- I think having different teas for different times of the day makes perfect sense. And I absolutely love the rooibos tea, it tastes amazing.

Thanks Bloom tea for letting me try your teas :) If you are interested, click on the links to go to their website as you can buy direct from there.
