Storm Tea

I was recently sent some tea from the lovely folks at Storm Tea. I always love to create a storm in a teacup!

They sent me some rooibos teabags, loose-leaf rooibos with raspberry and strawberry, lemongrass and vanilla teabags, and a ginger and lemon teabag.

First up I loved the unusual packaging of the teabags (or “silk pyramids”)- the clear plastic boxes were very eye catching and you could see straight away that the teabags were packed full. The loose leaf tea comes in a resealable pouch which is great to keep it airtight once opened.

I took this photo to try and show just how full they actually are. Jam packed.

All the teas taste fabulous.

The lemongrass and vanilla was an unusual sounding tea, so I tried it right away and have been loving it ever since. It does smell very sweet, and of course the longer you brew it the stronger the flavours get, but I love the lemongrass in it too- makes it sort of light and refreshing. I found they they sell it as loose leaf tea, and will be getting some more when my supply runs out.

The rooibos tea was also fab- with a strong nutty rooibos flavour. I liked it on its own or with milk, depending on my mood.  Again the teabags are just packed with the leaves.

The loose leaf tea was a brilliant excuse for me to use my infuser! The rooibos with strawberry and raspberry was lovely. I really like fruity teas but often they smell much better than they taste. This one smells lovely and fruity, but also tastes sweet. Again I had it either on its own or with milk added.

I am impressed with their website too- you can order direct and they have some accessories (although sadly I think Andy would not let me buy another teapot!)- I am loving the cute storage jars- this might be a solution for me?

Anyway, thank you to Storm Teas for letting me try some of their lovely teas. When my tea supply runs low (or when I fancy trying a new flavour) I will be back over to the website.

What is your favourite type of tea?

  1. i tried a lemon & ginger in a cafe & thats now my latest flavour. Peppermint in the morning and lemon & ginger later on. I do have to add a couple of tsps of stevia though – i have a bit of a sweet tooth when it comes to drinks.

  2. The lemongrass and vanilla is super sweet anyway- I never add sugar/ sweetener to tea or anything, but I would think you probably would not need it for that. I have been having mint in the morning too, and sometimes ginger and mandarin after dinner in the evening :)
