Booja Booja

After seeing cacao nibs adorning porridge, yoghurt etc all over blogland, and also eating it in tasty bear nibbles, I decided to order some. My first lot was horrible (can’t remember the brand) but I decided to give them a second go and got some Booja Booja ones. These were so different to the first ones I had tried, and I love to sprinkle a few on top of yoghurt. I emailed the company to say how much I loved the cacao nibs, and offered to try a few of their chocolates. They were kind enough to send me two cute packages;

First I tried the Raspbery truffles- Ingredients; 100% Cocoa solids, raw agave, raw coconut oil,raw raspberry, freeze dried cocoa powder. They are vegan, organic and gluten free.

I love how the cute little boxes open!

They are coated in cocoa powder (so be warned, they are messy) but totally worth the mess- The chocolate inside is a deep pinky brown- from the raspberries. They have a lovely sweetness, but the tart raspberry flavour still comes through. I was not expecting to like them as I am not keen on the strawberry cream chocolates (those ones are always binned from Roses boxes!) but these were not overly sweet.

Then I tried the Hazelnut truffles. Ingredients; Dark chocolate (cocoa solids, cane sugar, soya lecithin, vanilla), coconut oil, hazelnuts, cocoa powder.

Again it is coated in cocoa powder (again, I got in a mess!) but they are totally worth it.

The hazelnut flavour is heavenly- I love hazelnut with chocolate and these did not dissapoint. I am sure you can imagine how good they taste.

PS I also hear they are launching a brand new website soon, so be sure to check them out! :)
