Stoats make a range of porridge and oat based bars and snacks (and little porridge pots too).
They have been excellent running fuel!

The strawberry and coconut uber bar was delicious. It is made with oats, sweet freedom (a natural sweetener made from apples grapes and carob which you can buy on its own), coconut oil, dried strawberries, coconut and sunflower seeds (suitable for vegans). The bar is 50g and lovely and filling. The dried strawberries were actually really moist and made the bar seem like it had little bits of strawberry jam in it. I emailed and asked for the nutritional data but as yet have not recieved a reply. I give it 9/10 cherries on taste.

Pineapple and Mango Uber bar.
This is the same as the other Uber bar, only with dried mango and pineapple in place of the strawberries. It was quite sweet, and again lovely and filling. Good fuel before my post work run. I preferred the flavour of the other bar, but if pineapple and mango is your thang then I bet you would love this, as it’s different to other flakpacks. 7/10 cherries

The blueberry bars are lovely. These have a drier texture than the uber bars, but still as tasty. They have a good share of dried blueberries in there, and although they are a smaller size they are still a fair sized snack. 9/10 cherries.

The white chocolate and hazelnut porridge bar was delicious. I shared it as it is also pretty enormous. It did have whole hazelnuts in it, which I love! The white chocolate drizzle was enough to give it a hint of flavour, but not too sweet. 8/10 cherries

The Apricot and Sultana one was so much nicer than I expected (always a bonus). I am not always a fan of apricot things as I sometimes find them a bit sweet, but this was just plain tasty. It also surprised me with delicious pumpkin seeds which again stopped it from being too sweet. 9/10 cherries

The Raspberry and honey porridge oat bar was amazing. The bar was 85g, so I shared with Andy. The ingredients are simple- oats, butter, brown sugar, golden syrup, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, sultanas, dried raspberries, honey. The seeds were a lovely (surprise) addition, and the bar had a firm texture, and tasted delicious. It was sweet, but the honey flavour was subtle so it was not overpowering. Obviously it is not the healthiest (with the sugar and butter) but it has no additives so is pretty much like eating a home-made flapjack and better than cakes or biscuits with additives etc. 9/10 cherries (on taste)

Berryfeast porridge pot
This is 60g of porridge oats, cranberries, blueberries, strawberries, goji berries and salt. You can either add hot water/milk and leave to cook, or pour on cold milk/water and cook in the microwave for a few minutes.
I added coconut milk to this one, and then cooked it in the microwave. It made very thick porridge, so I added more milk once it was cooked to thin it out a bit. I was dissapointed in the amount of berries in this- there were a few, but it did not seem “packed” as the box indicated. It was nice, but nothing special. 6/10 cherries
It would be handy for when staying in hotels as you could use the room kettle to heat water to cook it.
Apple, Sultana and cinnamon porridge pot
This time I cooked it with water from the kettle, to see how that worked. It smelled lovely- the cinnamon was very strong. Again the porridge was very thick, so I added some cold milk to think it out a bit. I was expecting it to be very sweet (the ingredients are oats, dried apples, sultanas, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, demerara sugar, cinnamon, salt) but actually this tasted very plain. There were not many pieces of apple (and I think I counted 2 sultanas) so the actual flavouring was disappointing. This would be good to take with you if you are staying in a hotel with only a kettle, but I would not choose to have it. 5/10 cherries
All in all I enjoyed trying the Stoats products. I thought their bars with sweet freedom were tasty, and a healthier choice than other flapjacks. I loved the little blueberry oat bars, and the big flapjacks (mammoth ones) were fab for sharing and all really tasty.
