The fab folks at Wild Blue Honey Sticks agreed to send me some samples. I was blown away when I recieved a massive box of goodies to review!

Three boxes of their honey sticks (hazelnut, almond and sesame) and two boxes of honey biscuits. Perfect running fuel
The staff are also busy training for a Dorset Marathon, and I would agree they make a lovely change from the normal snack bars.
They are handmade with all natural ingredients. They are based on an ancient mediterranean recipe for honey cake. They all are made free from dairy and egg, and are free from GMO. They are all suitable for vegetarians.

Hazelnut honey sticks are made from honey, hazelnuts, breadcrumbs (flour, yeast, water, salt), flour, carob, linseed, ground spices. Each bar (40g) has 166 cals, 24g carbs, 6g unsaturated fat, 0.5g saturated fat, 2.8g protein, 2.9g fibre and 0.1g sodium.
They are amazing! They are basically a stick with a brownie like moist centre, coated in chopped hazeluts.

I was so surprised by the delicious taste and the moist texture of these bars. The box is not going to last long! 10/10 cherries

Almond honey sticks are made from honey, almonds, breadcrumbs, flour, hazelnuts, sesame and ground spices. Each 40g bar gives you 151 cals, 30g carbs, 6.3g sugars, 2g unsaturated fat, 0.2g saturated fat, 2.6g protein, 0.9g fibre and 0.1g sodium.
Yum these are also delicious. Soft cake like inside, coated in large chunks of toasted almonds. The spices reminded me of aniseed) which I like. 9/10 cherries

The Sesame honey sticks contain honey, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, breadcrumbs, flour, ground spices. Each bar (40g) gives you 144 cals, 31g carbs, 0.7g unsaturated fat, 0.1g saturated fat, 3.2g protein, 0.7g fibre, 0.1g sodium.
These are lovely, and again totally different from any other snack bar. The stick has an almost aniseed flavour (with the ground spices I suppose) and the honey makes them sweet, but not too sweet (very sticky though!). The centre is moist and the sesame seeds on the outside give it a lovely crunch. 9/10 cherries

The Orange Honey biscuits are made from wholegrain spelt flour, oat flour, orange blossom honey, sugar, olive oil, orange oil, bicarbonate of soda (so are free from egg, dairy, margerine, artificial additives etc). Each biscuit is 10g, and per 100g they are 513 cals, 64.2 carbs (25.1g sugars), unsaturated fat 21.8g, saturated fat 3.8g, protein 6.5g. More importantly, they were lovely. The orange flavour was subtle, the biscuits had a nice crunch and reminded me of the texture of a nice shortbread biscuit. 8/10 cherries
The lemon ones taste like lemon curd in biscuit form- delicious. The ingredients are the same, except they have lemon blossom honey and lemon oil instead of the orange ones. Very tasty indeed- 8/10 cherries
I loved trying these- my absolute favourite was the carob hazelnut bar, but I loved the flavour and texture of all the bars. They are different from other snacks bars- the honey and flour “cake” centre makes them seem more like a treat, and I love the crunch of the nuts or seeds on the outside.
